PMS2

PMS2 is a 96kDa mismatch repair protein, mainly involved to correct single base mismatch and small fragment mismatch disorders. Defects in PMS2 are responsible for a small but significant proportion of colorectal cancers and a large proportion of tumors with microsatellite instability. PSM2 is commonly used in cancer determination together with MLH1, MSH2 and MSH6.
