Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)

TSH is a glycoprotein secreted by the eosinophilic cells of the adenohypophysis and stimulates the secretion of thyroxine. It is mainly used for the functional classification of pituitary adenomas and the differential diagnosis of primary and metastatic tumors.
