CD68, a 110kDa glycoprotein, is an important marker for the identification of macrophages. This antibody can be used to stain Kupffer cells and macrophages in the red marrow of the spleen, and macrophages in the lamina propria of the intestine, alveoli and bone marrow. It can react with myeloid precursors, granulocytes and plasmacytoid T cells in the peripheral blood.
