Cytokeratin8 (CK8)

CK8 is a 52.5KDa high molecular weight B-type cell keratin. In normal tissues, CK8 is expressed in almost all non-squamous epithelium, such as colon, stomach, small intestine, tracheal and transitional epithelia. CK8 is also expressed in ovarian cancer, digestive tract adenocarcinoma, thyroid adenocarcinoma, breast ductal carcinoma, neuroendocrine tumor, liver cancer and kidney tumors. It is mainly used for the diagnosis of epithelial cancer and metastatic malignant tumors.
