GFAP

GFAP is an intermediate filament protein with a molecular weight of 51kDa. It is present in astrocytes of brain tissue but not in meningiomas. It is mainly used in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of astrocytomas, mixed gliomas and gliosarcomas.
