Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)

PSA is a glycoprotein synthesized by prostate epithelial cells with a molecular weight of 33kDa. Protein is present in normal prostatic acinar cells, ductal epithelial cells and luminal secretions. It is mainly used for the diagnosis of metastatic prostate adenocarcinomas.
