Topoisomerase II alpha (TOP2A)

TOP2A is a member of the topoisomerase family of proteins with a molecular weight of 170kDa. It plays an important role in DNA synthesis and division in normal cells. The level of TOP2A expression is proportional to the effect of anticancer drugs. The resistance mechanism of TOP2A is mainly formed by the decrease of intracellular topoisomerase Ⅱ content, topoisomerase Ⅱ gene mutations or topoisomerase ⅡATP binding site point mutation. Topoisomerase inhibitors are commonly used in the determination of the drug resistance in various tumor cells.
