CD31 is a transmembrane glycoprotein member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of adhesion molecules expressed by stem cells of the hematopoietic system. This antibody is highly specific and sensitive in vascular endothelial cells and can react with normal, benign, and malignant endothelial cells to form a vascular lining that helps to determine the degree of tumor angiogenesis and predict tumor recurrence.
