Chromogranin A (CgA)

CgA, a 68-75 kda protein, is the most abundant soluble acidic protein in the human adrenal medulla. It is widely present in neurons, neuroendocrine cells and tumor cells and is mainly used in the research of neuroendocrine cells and their derived tumors: pituitary tumors, islet cell tumors, pheochromocytoma, medullary thyroid carcinoma, and carcinoid tumors.
