Melanoma (HMB45)

HMB45 is a melanoma-associated antigen expressed in fetal and neonatal melanocytes, junctional nevus cells, blue nevus cells and malignant melanocytes. It can be used in the differential diagnosis of amelanotic melanoma from other poorly differentiated tumors of unknown origin. 90% of primary melanomas and 80% of recurrent and metastatic melanomas were found to be positive.
