Human Placental Lactogen(hPL)

hPL is a polypeptide hormone synthesized by placental syncytiotrophoblastic cells. It is mainly used in the diagnosis of choriocarcinoma, testicular cancer, breast cancer and malignant teratoma of ovary; usefull also in tumors with ectopic hormone secretion, such as lung cancer.
