c-erbB-2/HER2

c-erbB-2/HER2 is a transmembrane protein with a molecular weight of 185kDa. It is a member of the large family of cell surface growth factor receptors, inhibiting the activity of tyrosine kinase. The overexpression and amplification of C-erbb-2 /HER2 gene can be seen in a variety of tumors, and it is closely related to the differentiation and grading of tumors. This antibody recognizes an epitope that binds to the cytoplasmic fraction of c-erbB-2 on the Cellular membranes. It can be used as a reference index for the prognosis of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer and gastrointestinal cancer.
