CDX2 is a gut-specific transcription factor that can regulate the proliferation and differentiation of intestinal epithelial cells. The antibody is mainly used in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of intestinal adenocarcinoma and other adenocarcinomas. It is expressed in 97% of metastatic colorectal mucinous adenocarcinomas, but not in all mucinous bronchioloalveolar carcinomas. Therefore, it can be used in the differential diagnosis of primary and metastatic lung adenocarcinomas.
