Napsin A

Napsin A is a single-chain protein with a molecular weight of about 38kDa. It is highly expressed in normal lungs and kidneys, and lightly in the spleen. Napsin A is also expressed in type II alveolar carcinoma and lung adenocarcinomas. The high expression of Napsin A in lung adenocarcinoma is helpful to distinguish lung adenocarcinoma from other types of lung cancer.
