PD-L1, also known as surface antigen differentiation cluster 274 (CD274), is a type I transmembrane protein with a molecular weight of 40KDa. PD-L1 is expressed in a variety of normal tissues, and overexpressed in tumor cells associated with immune escape: melanoma, triple negative breast cancer, gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer, glioblastoma and liver cancers. It is mainly used in concomitant diagnosis to guide tumors medication.
