Thyroglobulin (TG)

TG thyroglobulin is a 330KDa glycoprotein expressed in thyroid follicular epithelium and glia, all thyroid follicular tumors, thyroid papillary carcinoma, and thyroid oncocytoma. It is mainly used in the diagnosis of primary thyroid cancer and its metastases. Combined with TTF-1 can be used to distinguish primary thyroid tumors from primary lung tumors.
