Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF)

VEGF is a protein with a molecular weight of 34-50 kda. VEGF and its receptor are recognized as the key factors mediating angiogenesis. VEGH strongly promotes the mitosis of vascular endothelium to form new blood vessels, and it is the strongest cytokine to stimulate tumor angiogenesis. Thus, it is mainly used in determination of the relationship between angiogenesis and tumor metastasis in various tumor tissues.
