MART-1/Melan-A

MART-1/Melan-A is a melanocyte differentiation antigen with a molecular weight of 20kDa, which is expressed in melanocytes and malignant tumors of the skin and retina, and in angiomyolipomas. It can be used for melanocytic differentiation of primary skin tumors (e. from schwannoma and benign fibrous histiocytomas).
