Helicobacter phlori (HP)

Helicobacter pylori (HP) is one of the causes of chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer in humans. It is also related to the occurrence of duodenal ulcer, gastric adenocarcinomas and gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphomas. Immunohistochemical detection of H. pylori with polyclonal antibodies is considered to be the most sensitive and specific method. Compared to traditional methods, the IHC presents more advantages in identifying and detecting HP. It can be also used to determine the efficacy of HP eradication drugs.
