Placental Alk Phosphatase (PLAP)

PLAP is a membrane-bound alkaline phosphatase with a molecular weight of 70KDa, present in normal placenta. It is also expressed in ovarian germ cell tumors, testis and extra-gonad germ cell tumors, including seminoma, gonadoblastoma, yolk sac tumor and choriocarcinoma.
